Data Analyst — Finance Domain Expert
Bordeaux, France · MSc @ KEDGE Business School
Most data analysts learn to read a P&L. I built them for a decade.
Finance professional turned data analyst — the full story.
I spent over a decade in finance and project accounting in Indonesia — starting as a Project Accountant and eventually leading financial oversight across multiple construction sites. Along the way, I saw firsthand how much a single unreliable number can cost: a delayed decision, a missed budget, a project review that goes sideways. That’s what drove me to go back to school.
I’m now finishing my MSc in Data Analytics for Business at KEDGE Business School in Bordeaux, building the technical skills — SQL, Python, Power BI, machine learning — to do the work I always wanted to do but couldn’t: turn raw financial data into something a business can actually act on. The numbers I care about are the ones that prevent a bad decision, not just summarise it.
Most recently I completed a Business Intelligence Analyst internship at Amplitude Laser Group in France, where I built Looker Studio dashboards and optimised BigQuery pipelines for an after-sales team that was still running everything on spreadsheets. I work in English daily, still building my French, and Indonesian at home.

Working across cultures is part of the job.
What colleagues and managers say about working with me.
“I strongly recommend Edwin, who completed a 3-month internship with our team at Amplitude. He quickly grasped the technical and organisational challenges of our business and made a major contribution in developing several Business Intelligence dashboards for our after-sales department. Edwin has an excellent analytical mind, strong working autonomy, and always maintained a professional and respectful attitude. Despite the French language barrier, he collaborated effectively with the entire team. I am convinced that Edwin will succeed in any demanding professional environment.”
“I had the pleasure of supervising Edwin during his internship at Amplitude. Edwin distinguished himself by his excellent mindset, punctuality, and reliability. He demonstrated great autonomy and a sharp sense of responsibility, adapting to new situations very quickly and rapidly growing in competence. Edwin was a valuable asset to our team.”

I’m looking for a data analyst role where finance domain depth is a real asset — not just a footnote. If that sounds like your team, let’s talk.
